What is Acnisal? Acnisal is a washapplied to the skin to treat acne and help prevent the formation of new blackheads, whiteheads and pimples. Acnisal contains salicylic acid which can open up blocked pores in your skin and remove dried grease which cause blackheads and pimples.

Warnings: Do not use this product if you are allergic to salicylic acid (aspirin) or any of the ingredients of Acnisal. Do not get Acnisal near or in your eyes and avoid contact with mucous membranes (e.g. mouth, nose and other body openings) as this may cause irritation. If you accidently swallow Acnisal, use too much of it or use it for long periods of time,, the body could absorb too much salicylic acid (salicylism). This could cause ringing in the ears, feeling or being sick. If these, or any other symptoms occur stop using Acnisal and consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding: The safe use of Acnisal during pregnancy and breast-feeding has not been established. Therefore Acnisal should be used with caution or following the advice of your doctor.

How to use Acnisal: Use Acnisal to wash the affected area 2-3 times daily. Lather with warm water, massage into the skin, rinse and dry.

Possible side effects: Acnisal may cause skin irritation (itching or redness) in some people. If this happens, use Acnisal less often, perhaps just once a day, or consult your doctor.

If your condition does not improve or gets worse, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Store below 25°C. Store in original bottle. Do not use after the expiry date printed on the base. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month after EXP.

The active ingredient is salicylic acid 2%w/w. Other ingredients are sodium chloride, PEG 7 glyceryl cocoate, lauramide DEA, acrylic styrene copolymer, sodium C14-C16 olefin sulphonate, benzyl alcohol and purified water. Label last revised December 2014.
