1.    WHAT THIS PRODUCT IS AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR Napiers Golden Joint Tablets is a

traditional herbal medicinal product containing Guaiacum resin, Prickly Ash Northen bark and Celery seed oil. For full details see Section 6.

Napiers Golden Joint Tablet is a

traditional herbal medicinal product used for the relief of backache, rheumatic or muscular pain, and general aches and pains in the muscles and joints, based on traditional use only.

2.    BEFORE YOU TAKE THIS PRODUCT

Do not take this product if you:

•    are under 18 years old

•    are pregnant or breastfeeding

•    are allergic to any of the ingredients

•    have articular pain accompanied by swelling of the joint, redness or fever and consult a doctor


Important information about some of the ingredients in this medicine

This product contains approx.197 mg of sucrose per tablet. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicinal product.


3. HOW TO TAKE THIS PRODUCT

For oral use only.

Adults (over 18 years old):

Two tablets to be taken three times day after meals.

Do not exceed the stated dose.

If your symptoms worsen or do not improve after 4 weeks, speak to your doctor or qualified healthcare practitioner.

If you experience articular pain accompanied by swelling of the joint, redness or fever, consult a doctor or qualified healthcare practitioner.

If you take too much (overdose).

If you take more than the recommended dose, speak to a doctor, pharmacist or qualified healthcare practitioner and take this leaflet with you.

If you forget to take this product

Continue to take your usual dose at the usual time. Do not take a double dose. It does not matter if you miss a dose.

4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS

There are no reported side effects. If you notice any side effects, please tell your doctor, pharmacist or qualified healthcare practitioner.

5.    HOW TO STORE THIS PRODUCT

Do not use this product after the expiry date. The expiry date is printed on the label and on the bottom of the carton.

Do not store above 25°C. Store in the original container.

There are no special precautions for disposal.

Keep this product out of the reach and sight of children.

6.    FURTHER INFORMATION

Each coated tablet contains:

60 mg of Guaiacum resin (Guaiacum officinale L); 60 mg of Prickly Ash Northern bark (Zanthoxylum americanum Mill); 0.04 mg of Celery seed oil (Apium graveolens L oil).

Each tablet also contains Pregelatinised, starch, Confectioner's sugar (sucrose, maize starch), Acacia, colloidal silica anhydrous, sodium starch glycolate, stearic acid, talc, ethanol, sucrose, calcium carbonate, shellac, beetroot powder, beeswax and carnauba wax.


This product comes in containers of 100 round tablets.

Guaiacum is a small tree native to the Caribbean and the northern coast of South America. An extract from the resin is used in making this herbal medicine.

What is Prickly Ash Northern bark?

Prickly Ash is a shrub-like tree native to the central and eastern regions of the United States and Canada. An extract from the sustainably harvested bark is used in this medicine.

What is Celery seed oil?

Celery is both a herb and vegetable that has been grown in the UK for centuries. An oil from the fruits or "seeds" is used in making this medicine.
