Napiers Joint Ability Herbal Tablets
is a traditional herbal medicinal product containing Capsicum fruit, Guaiacum resin and extracts of Blue Flag rhizome and Uva ursi leaf. For full details see Section 6.
Napiers Joint Ability Herbal Tablets
is a traditional herbal medicinal product used for the relief of backache, rheumatic pain and general aches and pains in the muscles and joints, based on traditional use only.
2. BEFORE YOU TAKE THIS PRODUCT
Do not take this product if you:
• are under 18 years old
• are pregnant or breastfeeding
• are allergic to any of the ingredients
Important information about some of the ingredients in this medicine
This product contains approx. 23 mg of sucrose per tablet. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicinal product.
Taking other medicines
Tell your doctor about any other medicines you are taking, including any bought without a prescription.
3. HOW TO TAKE THIS PRODUCT
For oral use only.
Adults and the elderly:
Two tablets to be taken three times day.
Do not exceed the stated dose.
If your symptoms worsen or do not improve after 4 weeks, speak to your doctor or qualified healthcare practitioner.
If you experience joint pain accompanied by swelling of the joint, redness or fever, consult a doctor or qualified healthcare practitioner.
If you take too much (overdose).
If you take more than the recommended dose, speak to a doctor, pharmacist or qualified healthcare practitioner and take this leaflet with you.
If you forget to take this product
Continue to take your usual dose at the usual time. Do not take a double dose. It does not matter if you miss a dose.
If you have any questions, or are unsure of anything, please speak to your doctor, pharmacist or qualified healthcare practitioner.
4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Nausea, vomiting, stomach-ache have been reported with Uva ursi leaf preparations. The frequency is not known. Uva ursi leaf preparations may also cause a greenish brown colouration of urine.
If other adverse reactions , not mentioned above occur, a doctor or qualified health care practitioner should be consulted.

5. HOW TO STORE THIS PRODUCT
Do not use this product after the expiry date. The expiry date is printed on the label and on the bottom of the carton.
Do not store above 25°C. Store in the original container.
There are no special precautions for disposal.
Keep this product out of the reach and sight of children.
6. FURTHER INFORMATION
Each coated tablet contains:
30mg of Capsicum fruit (Capsicum frutescens L.)
50mg of Guaiacum resin (Guaiacum officinale L)
52mg of soft extract of Blue Flag rhizome (Iris versicolor L. ) (100:52) Extraction Solvent: Water 28mg of dry extract of Uva ursi leaf (Arctostaphylos uva-ursi L.) (5:2) Extraction solvent: Water.
Each tablet also contains dicalcium phosphate, anhydrous; sucrose; sodium starch glycolate; magnesium stearate; talc, shellac, kaolin light, syrup (sucrose), beetroot powder and water.
This product comes in containers of 100 round tablets.

What is Guaiacum resin?
Guaiacum is a small tree native to the Caribbean and the northern coast of South America. An extract from the resin is used in making this herbal medicine.
What is Blue Flag rhizome?
Blue flag is a type of Iris native to the British Isles. An extract from the underground rhizome is used in this medicine.
What is Uva ursi?
Uva ursi, commonly called bearberry, is native to Europe. An extract from the leaves is used in making this medicine.
