Each tablet also contains lactose, sodium starch glycollate, maize starch, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, disodium edetate, magnesium stearate and sunset yellow (E110).

Co-Triamterzide Tablets 50/25mg are available in containers of 100 and 500* tablets.

Your pharmacist will dispense the number of tablets prescribed by your doctor.

(*Only marketed pack sizes will feature on the printed leaflet)

HOW DOES YOUR MEDICINE WORK?

Your medicine contains TRIAMTERENE and HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE which both belong to a group of drugs called DIURETICS (or ‘water’ tablets). Diuretics work by reducing the amount of water in the body by acting on the kidneys to increase the flow of urine. Otherwise, too much fluid in the body can raise blood pressure and overwork the different organs of the body leading to their damage.
