Undesirable effects Vitamin A

Vitamin A toxicity initially causing irritability, vomiting, loss of appetite and skin changes has been reported especially in children. With long term vitamin A overdose liver and brain disorders may occur. The symptoms usually disappear after withdrawal of the treatment.

Vitamin D

Vitamin D toxicity causes disturbances of calcium metabolism leading to calcium deposits forming in soft tissue including the lungs and kidneys. Brain and circulatory damage can also occur especially in infants. In infants showing increased Vitamin D sensitivity there is especial risk of elevated blood calcium levels.

Symptoms of elevated blood calcium levels include anorexia, nausea, vomiting, constipation, abdominal pain, muscle weakness, thirst, increased urine production, drowsiness, confusion, calcium deposits in the kidneys and in severe cases heartbeat disturbances, coma and heart failure.

Concavit Capsules contain Glycerin (also known as glycerol) which is harmful in high doses. It can cause headache and can cause stomach upset and diarrhoea.

They also contain E124 which can cause allergic type reactions including asthma. Allergy is more common in those people who are allergic to aspirin.

If you suffer any of these effects or have any other reaction that you believe may be due to taking Concavit then consult your doctor.
