Adults and the elderly:

Take two 5ml spoonfuls three times a day with water or fruit juice is desired.

Maximum daily dose: 15mls (3 doses)

The effects of this treatment may not occur immediately, therefore this product should be taken continuously for 2 - 4 weeks.

If symptoms worsen or persist for more than 4 weeks, consult your doctor or qualified healthcare practitioner.

DO NOT EXCEED THE STATED DOSE

Use is not recommended for children and adolescents under 18 years.

English Herbal Medicines Stress Relief is a traditional herbal medicinal product used for the temporary relief of symptoms associated with stress, tension and irritability, based on traditional use only.

English Herbal Medicines Stress Relief is a brown liquid. Ingredients: 0.25 ml of extract (as liquid extract) from Hops strobile (Humulus lupulus L.) (1:1).Extraction solvent: ethanol 45 % v/v.

0.4 ml of extract (as liquid extract) from Vervain herb* (Verbena officinalis L.) (1:1). Extraction solvent: ethanol 25% v/v.

0.15 ml of extract (as liquid extract) from Scullcap herb* (Scutellaria lateriflora L.) (1:1) Extraction solvent: ethanol 25% v/v.

0.5 ml of extract (as liquid extract) from Jamaica Dogwood root bark (Piscidia erythrina L.) (1:1) Extraction solvent: ethanol 60% v/v.

0.25 ml of extract (as liquid extract) from Passiflora herb* (Passiflora incarnata L.)( (1:1). Extraction solvent: ethanol 25% v/v.

0.5 ml of extract (as liquid extract) from Oat seed* (Avena sativa L.) (1:1). Extraction solvent: ethanol 25% v/v.

0.25 ml of extract (as liquid extract) from Valerian root* (Valerian officinalis L.) (1:5). Extraction solvent: ethanol 25% v/v.

This product also contains the following ingredients:

Compound Cardamon Tincture (Cardamom oil, Caraway oil, Cinnamon oil, Cochineal E120, glycerol and ethanol), Liquid Extract Lucerne (Medicago sativa) (1:1 21% ethanol), Caramel E150, Glycerol, Water

Do not take this product if you:

-    are allergic to any of the ingredients, to oats or to plants of the Asteraceae(Compositae) family

-    are pregnant or breastfeeding

-    are under 18 years of age

-    are already taking a medicine which makes you drowsy.

-    are taking a medicine known to interact with alcohol (e.g. metronidazole).

Caution is advised in patients with coeliac disease since data on the protein content is not available.

This product may cause drowsiness. Affected patients should not drive or operate machines. Alcohol may increase the effects of this product. Excessive use of alcohol should therefore be avoided.

You should also know:

This product contains approx. 16.5% (v/v) ethanol (alcohol). Each 5ml of oral liquid contains up to approx. 1 g of ethanol (alcohol), equivalent to 25 ml beer or 10.4 ml wine. Harmful for those suffering from alcoholism. To be taken into account in pregnant or breast-feeding women, children and high-risk groups such as patients with liver disease, or epilepsy.

This product contains Lucerne (Alfalfa) and is potentially harmful for patients with a history of systematic lupus erythematosus.

Like all medicines, this product can have side effects, although not everybody gets them.

One case of hypersensitivity, nausea and increased heartbeat has been reported with Passion flower. Gastroi ntestinal symptoms such as nausea and abdominal cramps may occur with Valerian root. The frequency is not known. Other possible side effects include allergic skin reactions such as itching, redness or blistering.

If these persist or become troublesome stop taking the product.

Tell your doctor or qualified healthcare practitioner if you notice any other side effects.

STORING THIS PRODUCT

Do not use after the expiry date shown on the bottle

Return any out of date medicine to your pharmacist who will dispose of it for you.

Do not store above 25oC. Store in the original container

.Keep the bottle tightly closed.

If you take too much of this product (overdose)

If you take more than the recommended dose, speak to a doctor, pharmacist or qualified healthcare practitioner and take this leaflet with you. Overdose of this product may result in alcohol intoxication and should be treated accordingly.

If you forget to take this product

Continue to take your usual dose at the usual time. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose. It does not matter if you have missed a dose.

This product is available in packs of 100ml and 200ml. Not all pack sizes may be marketed.
