For use as a mild disinfectant for minor cuts, wounds and skin ulcers or as a mouthwash and gargle.

For skin disinfection:

Adults, the elderly and children:

•    Soak ~ome cotton wool in the solution and use it to dress the wound as required.

As a mouthwash or gargle:

Adults, the elderly and children over 12 years:

•    Dilute a portion of the peroxide with twice the amount of water e.g. 5ml of peroxide and 10ml of water.

•    Use this solution to rinse the mouth for 2 - 3 minutes.

•    Repeat up to three times a day.

FRONT FACE REVERSE:


This medicine contains hydrogen peroxide, a disinfectant and deodorant. It kills bacteria by releasing oxygen when in contact with body tissues.

1. Before you use this medicine

□    Do not use the medicine if you have....

•    An allergy to any of the ingredients listed on the front.

□    Do not use the medicine..

•    On normal skin and eyes.

•    In closed body cavities or surgical wounds.

•    As an enema.

•    To disinfect surgical instruments.

•    This product may bleach fabrics.

A Pregnant or breastfeeding..

Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine if you are pregnant, might be pregnant or are breastfeeding. Hydrogen Peroxide Solution should not be used in pregnancy or whilst breastfeeding unless the doctor has told you to do so.


2. Possible side effects

Like all medicines, Hydrogen Peroxide Solution can have side effects, although these don’t affect everyone.

Possible side effects of strong solutions are:

•    Irritating burns on the skin and other soft tissues of the body producing a white patch of dead tissue. The pain from this will disappear after about an hour.

Continual use as a mouthwash may cause:

•    Temporary swelling of the tongue.

If you notice these or any other side effects, stop use and tell your doctor or pharmacist. They will tell you what to do. Reporting of side effects

Alf you accidentally swallow some see a doctor straight away. Take the pack with you to show which medicine you have swallowed.
