Relieves indigestion & heartburn
or symptomatic relief of indigestion, heartbU.il and dyspepsia.
SHAKE THE BOTTLE. Take the mixture by mouth.
Adults, the elderly and children over 12 years: Take 2 to 4 x 5ml spoonfuls in a little water. Take three times a day or as required. Children 5 to 12 years: Take 1 to 2 x 5ml
spoonfuls in a little water. Take three times a day or as required.
Do not give to children under 5 years old
unless your doctor tells you to.
If symptoms persist consult your doctor. Peel where shown for further precautions.
Active ingredients per 5ml:
magnesium trisilicate 250mg, magnesium carbonate 250mg, sodium hydrogen carbonate 250mg Also contains amongst other ingredients sodium parahydroxybenzoates (E219, E217). Sodium 73.4mg/5ml.

This medicine contains antacids to reduce excess stomach acid.
1. Before you use this medicine
□ Do not use the medicine if you or your child have....
An allergy to any of the ingredients listed in section 3.
Severe kidney failure.
High levels of alkali in the blood.
Low levels of calcium or phosphate in the blood. Reduced stomach acid.
Heart failure.
High blood pressure.
Liver problems.
Or you are on a low salt (sodium) diet.
ATalk to your doctor or pharmacist if you or your child have..
Water retention.
Kidney problems.
High levels of acid or low levels of potassium in the blood.
• Or are taking steroids.
ATalk to your doctor or pharmacist if you or your child are taking..
Any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription, as antacids can interfere with their action, e.g.
• ACE inhibitors for high blood pressure.
• Medicines for bacterial, fungal or viral infections (e.g. tetracyclines, methenamine, fluoroquinolones, rifampicin, azithromycin, atazanavir, tipranavir, cephalosporins).
• Medicines to prevent blood clotting (e.g. dipyridamole).
• Medicines for mental illness (e.g. barbiturates, phenothiazines, sulpiride, lithium).
• Gabapentin or phenytoin (for epilepsy).
• Chloroquine, hydroxychloroquine or proguanil to prevent or treat malaria.
• Bisphosphonates for osteoporosis.
• Fexofenadine (an antihistamine).
• Deflazacort (a corticosteroid).
• Lansoprazole (for a stomach ulcer).
• Rosuvastatin (for high cholesterol).
• Levothyroxine (for thyroid problems).
• Penicillamine (for rheumatoid arthritis).
• Digoxin (for heart failure).
• Ulipristal (morning after pill).
• Mycophenolate (an immunosuppressant medicine).
• Eltrombopag to treat low platelet counts.
• Polystyrene sulphonate resins.
• Erlotinib (a cancer medicine).
• Aspirin.
• Bile acids.
• Iron preparations.
Magnesium Trisilicate Mixture may affect the action of these and other medicines, so allow 2 to 4 hours between taking this and any other medicine. Pregnant or breastfeeding..
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine if you are pregnant, might be pregnant or are breastfeeding.

Important ingredient information
This product contains 6.4mmol (or 147mg) sodium per 10ml dose. To be taken into consideration by patients on a controlled sodium diet.
It also contains sodium methyl and sodium propyl parahydroxybenzoates (E219, E217) which may cause allergic reactions (possibly delayed).
2. Possible side effects
Like all medicines, Magnesium Trisilicate Mixture can have side effects, although these don’t affect everyone.
Possible side effects are:
• Diarrhoea.
• Stomach cramps.
• Wind.
• Overuse for a long time may cause kidney stones.
If you notice these or any other side effects, stop use and tell your doctor or pharmacist. They will tell you what to do.

If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse. This includes any possible side effects not listed in this leaflet. 3. Further information
If you accidentally take too much see a doctor straight away. Take the pack with you to show which medicine you have swallowed.
• Do not use after the expiry date. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
• Return any unused medicine to the pharmacy for disposal.
The active ingredients per 5ml are: magnesium trisilicate 250mg, magnesium carbonate 250mg, sodium hydrogen carbonate 250mg.
The other ingredients are: sodium methyl and sodium propyl parahydroxybenzoates (E219, E217), peppermint oil, polysorbate 20 (E432), saccharin sodium, xanthan gum (E415), menthol and purified water.
What the medicine looks like
Magnesium Trisilicate Mixture is a white suspension which separates on standing.
It is supplied in 200ml bottles.
