PATIENT INFORMATION LEAFLET

This leaflet is provided to give you information about Richmond Antiseptic Cream and what you should know to use it correctly. Please read it carefully.

The name of your medicine is Richmond Antiseptic Cream.

What does Richmond Antiseptic Cream contain?

Richmond Antiseptic Cream contains an active ingredient called Cetrimide BP 0.5% w/w in a hydrophilic cream base.

It also contains inactive ingredients: liquid paraffin, white soft paraffin, lanolin (anhydrous), cetostearyl alcohol, glyceryl monostearate, myristyl alcohol, cetomacragol 1000, nipasept (mixture of alkyl esters of 4-hydroxybenzoic acid), perfume compound and de-ionized water.

Richmond Antiseptic Cream is available in packs of 5 g, 10 g, 15 g, 25 g, 30 g, 50 g, 60 g and 100 g.

What is Richmond Antiseptic Cream used for?

It is used for the treatment of nappy rash, chapped hands, sunburn, chafing, minor bums, cuts and abrasions.

None.

How to use Richmond Antiseptic Cream

For topical use only. Apply liberally to the affected area. Repeat as necessary.

First aid: Wash affected area gently, pat dry and apply to soothe and help prevention of infection. Nappy rash: After normal nappy changing routine, dry baby's skin and without rubbing apply cream. What happens if the cream is swallowed?

If you accidentally swallow Richmond Antiseptic Cream, contact your doctor or pharmacist. Precautions and other special warnings

If symptoms persist or you notice anything unusual, stop using the cream and consult your doctor. Keep all medicines out of the reach and sight of children.

Other important points

Do not use this medicine after the expiry date shown on the side of the tube, or if the seals are tampered with.
