1.    WHAT THIS PRODUCT IS AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR

Slimwell Max Herbal Slimming Tablets is a traditional herbal medicinal product containing Bladderwrack extract. For full details see Section 6.

Slimwell Max Herbal Slimming Tablets is a traditional herbal medicinal product used as an aid to slimming as part of a calorie controlled diet, based on traditional use only.

2.    BEFORE YOU TAKE THIS PRODUCT Do not take this product if you:

•    are under 18 years old or elderly

•    are pregnant or breastfeeding

•    are allergic to iodine or any of the ingredients

•    are taking other medicines or dietary supplements containing iodine

•    have a thyroid disorder

Important information about some of the ingredients in this medicine

This product contains 132 micrograms of iodine. If you have been told that you have a thyroid disorder, contact your doctor before taking this medicinal product.

This product contains 86.7 mg of lactose and 0.085 mg of sucrose per tablet. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicinal product.

3. HOW TO TAKE THIS PRODUCT

For oral use only.

Adults (over 18 years old):

Two tablets to be taken three times a day after meals.

Do not exceed the stated dose.

This product must be used in conjunction with a calorie controlled diet and extra exercise.

If your symptoms worsen or persist, speak to your doctor, pharmacist or qualified healthcare practitioner.

If you take too much (overdose).

If you take more than the recommended dose, speak to a doctor, pharmacist or qualified healthcare practitioner and take this leaflet with you.

An overdose may lead to thyroid disorders such as hyperthyroidism, thyrotoxicosis, subclinical hypothyroidism or Hashimoto's thyroiditis.

If you forget to take this product

Continue to take your usual dose at the usual time. Do not take a double dose. It does not matter if you miss a dose.

If you have any questions, or are unsure of anything, please speak to your doctor, pharmacist or qualified healthcare practitioner.

4.    POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS

In some people, Bladderwrack extracts may cause diarrhoea. The frequency is unknown.

If you notice any side effects, not mentioned above, please tell your doctor, pharmacist or qualified healthcare practitioner.

5.    HOW TO STORE THIS PRODUCT

Do not use this product after the expiry date. The expiry date is printed on the label and on the bottom of the carton.

Do not store above 25°C. Store in the original container.

Return any unused medicine to your pharmacist for safe disposal.

Keep this product out of the reach and sight of children.

6. FURTHER INFORMATION

Each coated tablet contains:

120 mg of dry extract from Bladderwrack thallus (Fucus vesiculosus L. or Fucus serratus L.) (5:1) (equivalent to 600 mg of Bladderwrack thallus).

Extraction solvent: Water.

Each tablet also contains lactose, calcium hydrogen phosphate (E341), talc (E553(b)), magnesium stearate (E572), sodium starch glycolate, sucrose , titanium dioxide (E171)

, kaolin light (E559), maltodextrin, colloidal anhydrous silica and water.

This product comes in containers of 100 round, white tablets.
