1.    What is Nurofen Muscular Pain Relief Gel Pharmacy Only?

Nurofen Muscular Pain Relief Gel Pharmacy Only belongs Id a group of medicines known as non steroidal inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS). It Isgenlly rubbed Into the skin to relieve pain, reduce local heat, swelling and inflammation

in conditions such as backache, rheumatic and muscular pain, sprains, strains and spoits injuries.

2.    Before you use Nurofen Muscular Pain Relief Gel Pharmacy Only?

Do not use this product if you:

*    are alergic or sensitive to any of the ingredient (lisled in section 6), to aspirin or other pain relievers known as nonsteroidal anfonflammatory drugs (NSAlDs)

*    have ever bad an asthma attack, rash or runny nose offer taking aspirin or any NSAlDs

*    are under 14 years old.

Check with your doctor or pharmacist before using this product if you:

suffer from asthma

are taking aspirin, ibuprofen or other NSAlD pain relievers

*    are pregnant.

3.    Haw to use

For cutaneous use (use on the skin) only. When first opening the lube, check that the tube seal is not broken. To break seal, press against the point hidden m the top surface of the cap.

(Adults and children 14 years and over

[Squeeze 4 to 10 cm of gel onto the affected area, then replace the cap.

Gently rub the gel in until it is absorbed - then wash your hands stnaight away,

(This represents a dose of 50 - 125 mg of Ibuprofen). Do not exceed the slated dose.

Do not

Apply more gel within four hours.

Apply it more than four limes in 24 fiouis.

Use it on broken or inflamed skin, on the lips, genital area or near the eyes.

*    Cover the area with bandages, dressings or plasters.

(This gel is for external use only.

Length of treatment

If your symptoms worsen or if there is no improvement offer 2 weeks treatment, talk to your doctor.

Stop using the gel if you develop a rash [see section 4).

ilf the gel is swallowed,, rinse the mouth out with water Swallowing the gel may cause an upset [stomach If you are concerned, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. If a child swallows the gel, talk to [your doctor straight away.

A. Side effects

[Like all medicines Nurofen Muscular Rain Relief Gel Pharmacy Only can cause side effects, although 'not everyone gels them.

[Seek medicd help at once if you develop any of the following rone reactions.

[* unexplained wheeziness, shortness of breath, onset of asthma, swelling of fhe face, lips or tongue, i difficulty swallowing or breathing

!• serious skin reactions such as itchy rashes, inflammation, swelling, peeling or cracking of the skin,

| raised red patches with blistering.

[The active ingredient (which makes the gel work) is ibuprofen 5% w/w. The gel also contains: Purified water, Isopropyl alcohol, Hydraxyethylcellulase, Benzyl alcohol, Sodium hydroxide.
