Each hard capsule of Passiflora Herb Capsules contains the following active herbal ingredient:

Passion Flower herb 300mg (Passiflora incarnata L.).

There are no other ingredients in Passiflora Herb Capsules.

The capsule shell is made from hypromellose. The capsules are hard, clear, oblong and contain a pale green powder.

Each pot of Passiflora Herb Capsules contains 60 capsules.

1    What is Passiflora Herb Capsules and what it is used for

Passiflora Herb Capsules is a traditional herbal medicinal product used for the temporary relief of mild anxiety and to aid sleep, based on traditional use only.

2    Before you take Passiflora Herb Capsules

Do not take if you:

-    are allergic to any of the ingredients (see section 6).

-    are pregnant or breastfeeding.

-    are under 18 years of age.

Tell your doctor if you have an intolerance to any of the ingredients. Taking other medicines

This product should not be taken in combination with synthetic sedatives (such as benzodiazepines).

3    How to take Passiflora Herb Capsules

Dosage

Swallow the capsules whole with water. Do not chew the capsules. For adults and the elderly:

For the temporary relief of symptoms of mild anxiety take 1 -2 capsules 3 times a day.

To aid sleep, take 2 capsules 30 minutes before bedtime with an earlier dose of 2 capsules earlier in the evening if necessary.

Maximum daily dose:- 8 capsules.

Do not exceed the recommended dose.

This product is not suitable for children or adolescents under 18 years old.

If your symptoms persist, worsen or do not improve after four weeks during or after using this product, tell your doctor.


Driving and using machines

This product may cause drowsiness. If you are affected do not drive or operate machines.

If you take too much Passiflora Herb Capsules (overdose)

If you take more than the recommended dose, see a doctor, pharmacist or qualified healthcare practitioner and take this leaflet with you.

If you forget to take Passiflora Herb Capsules

Continue to take your usual dose at the usual time; it does not matter if you have missed a dose.

If you are unsure about anything relating to Passiflora Herb Capsules

If you have any questions, or are unsure about anything, please ask your doctor, pharmacist or qualified healthcare practitioner.

4    Possible side effects

Like all medicines this product may have side effects.

These include:

-    Nausea

-    Hypersensitivity (vasculitis)

-    Tachycardia

If these persist or become troublesome stop taking the product.

If you notice any other side effects after taking Passiflora Herb Capsules, please inform your doctor or pharmacist.

5    How to store Passiflora Herb Capsules

Do not use the capsules after the expiry date.

The expiry date is printed on the pot label. Return any unused capsules to your pharmacist who will dispose of them for you.

Store below 25°C in the original package.

Keep all medicines out of sight and reach of children.
