Pepto-Bismol Peppermint Flavoured Chewable Tablets contain tbe active ingredient bismuth subsalicylate. Tbe active works with tbe other ingredients for fast relief of heartburn, indigestion, nausea, upset stomach and to control diarrhoea. DO NOT USE IF YOU ARE: • under 16 years, due to a possible association between salicylates and Reye's syndrome (a very rare but very serious disease) • allergic to salicylates including aspirin or any of tbe other ingredients • taking other salicylates including aspirin • pregnant or breast-feeding.

ASK A DOCTOR BEFORE USE IF YOU: • have a blood clotting disorder or gout • are taking medicines for thinning tbe blood (anticoagulants), diabetes, gout or tetracycline antibiotics. DIRECTIONS FOR USE: For adults and Children over 16 years only: Chew or dissolve two tablets (one dose) in your mouth. Repeat tbe dose every 30-60 minutes if needed. Do not take more than 16 tablets (8 doses) in 24 hours. Only use as directed. If used for longer than 2 days or at higher doses than recommended there is an increased possibility of side effects. If you have diarrhoea, it is important to prevent or treat dehydration by drinking plenty of fluids or taking oral rebydration products, especially if you are frail or elderly. Do not exceed tbe stated dose or use after tbe expiry date stated on tbe side of tbe pack.

STOP USING and SEE YOUR DOCTOR IF: • Symptoms are severe or persist for more than 2 days • diarrhoea is accompanied by fever • you experience ringing in tbe ears • you notice anything unusual or have unexpected side effects • you accidentally take too many tablets. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS: • This product may cause a temporary and harmless darkening of tbe stool and/or tongue. If these symptoms do not disappear after 3 days of stopping product use - consult your doctor or pharmacist. Warning: this product contains amaranth (colouring) which may cause allergic reactions including asthma; and aspartame (sweetener) - a source of phenylalanine, which may be harmful for people with phenylketonuria. If you get any side effects, including side effects not listed, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. You can also report side effects directly via the Yellow Card Scheme at: www.mhra.gov.uk/yellowcard

INGREDIENTS: Active: bismuth subsalicylate (262.5 mg in each tablet). Others: mannitol, calcium carbonate, povidone, magnesium stearate, talc, peppermint flavour, saccharin sodium, aspartame (E951), amaranth aluminium lake (E123), vanilla cream flavour.

HOW TO STORE: Keep in original packaging and below 25°C. KEEP OUT OF THE SIGHT AND REACH OF CHILDREN.
