This medicine is available without prescription. However, you still need to take Potter’s Strength carefully to get the best results from it.

•    Keep this leaflet. You may need to read it again.

•    Ask your pharmacist if you need more information or advice.

•    You must contact a doctor or pharmacist if your symptoms worsen or do not improve after 1 week.

1.    WHAT POTTER’S STRENGTH IS AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR:

Potter’s Strength is a traditional herbal medicinal product to help relieve symptoms of fatigue and weakness, based on traditional use only.

Containing Cola, Damiana extract and Saw Palmetto extract

2.    BEFORE YOU TAKE POTTER'S STRENGTH Do not take Potter’s Strength

•    if you are allergic to any of the ingredients

•    if you suffer gastric and duodenal ulcers

•    if you suffer from cardiovascular disorders such as high blood pressure, irregular heartbeat or have an overactive thyroid gland

•    before bedtime as it may cause sleep disturbances

•    if you are pregnant or breastfeeding

•    if you are under 18 years of age

•    prior to undergoing surgery.

Taking other medicines:

Patients taking MAO-inhibitor medicines (antidepressants) should use products containing Cola seed with caution. Products containing Cola seed, like other products containing caffeine reduce the action of sedative medicines and increase side effects caused by some medicines used to treat heart conditions.

Please ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding:

You should not use Potter’s Strength if you are pregnant or breastfeeding because there is no evidence that it is safe to do so.

Driving and using machines:

No studies on the effect on the ability to drive and use machines have been performed.

Important information about some of the ingredients in Potter’s Strength:

This product contains Sucrose and Lactose. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicine.

3. HOW TO TAKE POTTER’S STRENGTH:

It is important that you follow these instructions carefully.

For oral use: Adults and the elderly: Take two tablets three times a day.

The use in children and adolescents under 18 years old is not recommended.

Do not exceed the stated dose.

If your condition worsens or symptoms persist for more than 1 week, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

If you take too many Potter’s Strength:

Stop taking the medicine and consult your doctor or pharmacist.

If you forget to take Potter’s Strength:

If you miss a dose, take your next dose at the usual time. Do not take two doses at the same time to make up for a missed dose. Always consult your doctor or pharmacist if you need further advice

4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS:

Like all medicines this product can cause side effects, but not everyone gets them. If the following or other side effects occur, stop taking this product and consult your doctor or pharmacist:

•    Belching and stomach discomfort

•    Allergic reactions

•    There has been one case report of haemorrhage during surgery associated with the use of Saw palmetto.

Reporting of side effects:

If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse.

This includes any possible side effects not listed in this leaflet.

By reporting side effects you can help provide more information on the safety of this medicine.

5.    HOW TO STORE POTTER’S STRENGTH:

Keep out of the reach and sight of children.

Do not use Potter’s Strength after the expiry date. The expiry date is printed on the label and base of the carton.

Do not store above 25°C. Store in the original packaging.

Return any unused medicine to your pharmacist for safe disposal.

6.    FURTHER INFORMATION:

Each coated tablet contains:

45 mg Cola Powder (Cola nitida (Vent.)(Schott et Endl.))

80.5 mg Dry Extract Damiana Leaf (Turnera diffusa Will.) (100:35) (equivalent to 230 mg Damiana leaf)

Extraction solvent: Water

11.3 mg Soft Extract Saw Palmetto fruit (Serenoa repens (Bartram) Small) (4:1) (equivalent to 45.2 mg Saw Palmetto fruit)

Extraction solvent: Water

This product also contains:

Sucrose, Lactose, Sodium Starch Glycolate, Talc, Pre-gelatinised Starch,, Magnesium Stearate, Shellac, Kaolin Light, Titanium Dioxide (E171), Red Iron Oxide(E172), Carmine lake (E120), Maltodextrin.

Potter’s Strength is a brownish round sugar coated tablet and available in containers of 60 tablets.
