PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE

This medicine is available without prescription. However, you still need to take Potter’s Tension Relief carefully to get the best results from it.

•    Keep this leaflet. You may need to read it again.

•    Ask your pharmacist if you need more information or advice.

•    You must contact a doctor or pharmacist if your symptoms worsen or do not improve after 4 weeks.

•    If you experience any of the side effects listed in the leaflet, or if you notice any other side effects, please consult your doctor or pharmacist.

WHAT POTTER’S TENSION RELIEF IS AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR:

Potter’s Tension Relief is a traditional herbal medicinal product used for the short term relief of minor aches, tenseness and irritability, based on traditional use only.

Containing Jamaica Dogwood, Hops, extracts of Wild Lettuce & Passion Flower.

2. BEFORE YOU TAKE POTTER’S TENSION RELIEF:

Do not take Potter’s Tension Relief:

•    if you are allergic to any of the ingredients

•    if you are pregnant or breastfeeding

•    if you are under 18 years of age

•    if you are taking medicines containing synthetic sedatives (such as benzodiazepines).

Taking other medicines:

Please ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding:

You should not use Potter’s Tension Relief if you are pregnant or breastfeeding because there is no evidence that it is safe to do so.

Driving and using machines:

This product may impair the ability to drive and use machines and therefore it is advised that you do not take this medicine if you are going to drive or use machinery.

The effect of this product may be potentiated by alcohol. Excessive concomitant consumption of alcohol should therefore be avoided.

3. HOW TO TAKE POTTER’S TENSION RELIEF:

It is important that you follow these instructions carefully.

For oral use: Adults and the elderly: One or two tablets three times daily. Or three tablets at once and repeat after three hours if necessary.

The maximum daily dose is 6 tablets.

The use in children and adolescents under 18 years is not recommended.

Do not exceed the stated dose.

If your condition worsens or symptoms persist for more than 4 weeks, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

If you take too many Potter’s Tension Relief:

Stop taking the medicine and consult your doctor or pharmacist.

If you forget to take Potter’s Tension Relief:

If you miss a dose, take your next dose at the usual time. Do not take two doses at the same time to make up for a missed dose. Always consult your doctor or pharmacist if you need further advice.

4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS:

Like all medicines this product can cause side effects, but not everyone gets them.

If any of the following or other side effects occur, stop taking this product and consult your doctor or pharmacist:

There has been one report of nausea and tachycardia (increased heart beat) and one report of hypersensitivity (vasculitis) in patients using Passion flower herb. The frequency is not known.

Reporting of side effects:

If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse.

This includes any possible side effects not listed in this leaflet.

5. HOW TO STORE POTTER’S TENSION RELIEF:

Keep out of the reach and sight of children.

Do not use Potter’s Tension Relief after the expiry date. The expiry date is printed on the label and base of the carton.

Do not store above 25°C. Store in the original packaging.

Return any unused medicine to your pharmacist for safe disposal.

6. FURTHER INFORMATION:

Each tablet contains:

90 mg Jamaica Dogwood (Piscidia erythrina L.),

54 mg Dry Extract Wild Lettuce leaf (Lactuca virosa L.) (Equivalent to 270 mg Wild Lettuce leaf) Extraction solvent: Water,

36 mg Dry Extract Passiflora herb (Passiflora incarnate L.) (Equivalent to 126 mg -162mg Passion Flower herb) Extraction solvent: Water,

30 mg Hop strobile (Humulus lupulus L.)

This product also contains:

Calcium Hydrogen Phosphate, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Stearic Acid, Colloidal Anhydrous Silica, Magnesium Stearate Maltodextrin, Clear film coating containing hypromellose, glycerol and hydroxypropyl cellulose

Potter’s Tension Relief is mottled brown, round film coated tablet available in containers of 60 tablets.
