Possible side effects


As with all medicines this product can have side effects in some people.

-    Allergic reactions (rash, skin blistering, itchiness, breathing difficulties, swelling of face and throat). If you experience any serious allergic reactions, stop taking the medicine and seek medical advice.

-    Constipation, belching, nausea, vomiting, stomach discomfort, diarrhoea, muscular weakness or kidney stones due to high levels of calcium may occur.

Reporting of side effects

If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor or pharmacist or nurse.

This includes any possible side effects not listed in this leaflet.

How to store this medicine


-    Keep out of the sight and reach of children

-    Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.

-    Do not use after the expiry date shown on the pack.

-    Store in original package in order to protect from moisture.

-    If you find that you still have this medicine after its expiry date, return it your local pharmacist who will dispose of it properly.


What this medicine contains


; Each chewable tablet contains 800mg of the active ingredient calcium carbonate, j i equivalent to 320mg of calcium and 125mg of active ingredient Simeticone. It also] ! contains sucrose, glucose syrup, purified water, hydrolysed milk protein, gelatin, i | maize starch, sorbitol (E420), glycerol (E422), titanium dioxide (El 71), Patent Blue ! ] V (E131), hydrogenated vegetable fat, amerfond fondant sugar, doublemint | ' flavour, levomenthol, butylated hydroxyanisole (E320) and talc.

] Remegel Wind Relief are pale blue-green soft chewable square tablets. There are ] ! 8 individually wrapped chewable tablets packed in a laminate stick pack. These ! come in pack sizes of 24 or 48 tablets. Not all pack sizes may be marketed. !

Please read this leaflet carefully before taking Remegel Wind Relief.

•    Keep this leaflet, you may wish to read it again.

•    Ask your pharmacist if you need more information or advice.


What this medicine is and what it is used for?


Remegel Wind Relief is a soft mint-flavoured chew that provides fast, effective relief from acid indigestion, heartburn, upset stomach, belching, burping, flatulence, trapped wind and bloating.


Before taking this medicine


Do not take if....

•    You are allergic to any of the ingredients in this product. See ‘What this medicine contains’ for the full list of ingredients

•    You have severe kidney disease, have or had kidney stones

•    You have high levels of calcium or low levels of phosphate in your blood.

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if....

•    You have kidney disease

•    You have diabetes: each tablet contains 2.5mg of sucrose and glucose syrup

•    You are pregnant or breastfeeding

•    You are taking other medicines, particularly tetracyclines or quinolone antibiotics (for bacterial infections) or digoxin (for heart problems)

•    You are on a special diet or have severe dietary problems e.g, malnutrition or phosphate deficiencty.

•    You have an intolerance to some sugars - the product contains sucrose, glucose and sorbitol.


How to take this medicine


Adults, the elderly and children over 12 yrs:

-    Chew 1 or 2 tablets. Repeat as necessary. Maximum: 12 tablets in 24 hours

Children under 12 years:

-    Not recommended for children under 12 years.

Prolonged use should be avoided. Do not exceed the stated dose. If symptoms persist or do not improve after 7 days speak to your doctor.


If you take too much of this medicine...

If you take too much of this medicine than you should, speak to your doctor or pharmacist immediately.
