SEA-LEGS TABLETS Meclozine Hydrochloride 12.5mg

PATIENT INFORMATION LEAFLET

Please read this leaflet carefully before taking Sea-Legs Tablets.

•    Keep this leaflet, you may wish to read it again.

•    Ask your pharmacist if you need more information or advice.

What are these tablets used for?

Sea-Legs Tablets are effective in the prevention and treatment of motion sickness.

Before taking these tablets Do not take...

•    If you are allergic to any of the ingredients in this product.

See 'What these tablets contain' for the full list of ingredients.

•    If you are pregnant.

Take special care...

•    Avoid alcoholic drinks.

•    Make sure Sea-Legs tablets are suitable for you to use - ask your doctor or pharmacist.

•    Sea-Legs tablets may cause drowsiness. If affected, do not drive or operate machinery.

•    Sea-Legs tablets contain lactose. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before you use this product.

How to take these tablets

•    The tablets may be taken one hour prior to starting the journey or, as Sea-Legs can remain active for 24 hours after one dose, the previous night.

Adults. the elderly and children over 12 years:

•    Two tablets (25mg) per 24 hours.

Children 6-12 years of age:

•    One tablet (12.5mg) per 24 hours.

Children 2-6 years of age:

•    Half a tablet (6.25mg) per 24 hours.

If you take too many of the tablets...

If you take more of the tablets than you should, speak to your doctor or pharmacist immediately. Possible side effects

No side effects have been reported following use of this product. If you feel you are reacting badly to this medicine in any way, then stop taking the tablets and speak to your doctor or pharmacist

How to store these tablets

•    Keep out of the reach and sight of children.

•    Do not store above 25°C.

•    Do not use after the expiry date shown on the carton.

• If you find that you still have this medicine after its expiry date, return it to your local pharmacist who will dispose of it properly.

What these tablets contain

Sea-Legs Tablets contain 12.5mg of the active ingredient meclozine hydrochloride.

Meclozine hydrochloride has anti-histamine properties. It is used for its anti-sickness action which may last for up to 24 hours.

They also contain lactose, maize starch, sodium starch glycolate, magnesium stearate and povidone powder.

Sea-Legs Tablets are white, round tablets with a breakline, contained in foil/polythene laminate strips of 12 tablets.
