1. What this product is and what it is used for


Swiss Herbal Remedies Menopause Tincture is a traditional herbal medicinal product used for the symptomatic relief of hot flushes associated with the menopause, based on traditional use only.

2. Before you take this product


Do not take this product if you:

-    are allergic to any of the ingredients (see Section 6)

-    are pregnant or breastfeeding

-    are under 18 years of age

-    are taking a medicine containing Phenytoin

Tell your doctor if you have an intolerance to any of the ingredients.

No studies on the ability to drive or use machinery whilst taking this product have been performed. You should also know:

This product contains approximately 197mg of ethanol (alcohol) per dose, equivalent to 5ml beer or 2ml wine. Harmful for people suffering from alcoholism or liver disease.

3. How to take this product


Adult Females:

Take 20 drops (1 ml) in a small amount of water, three times a day.

Do not exceed the stated dose

This product is not recommended for children or those under 18 as there is no relevant indication.

If you take too much of this product (overdose)

If you take more than the recommended dose, speak to a doctor, pharmacist or qualified healthcare practitioner and take this leaflet with you. Overdose of this product may result in alcohol intoxication and should be treated accordingly (see Section 2 - Before you take this product).

If you forget to take this product

Continue to take your usual dose at the usual time. It does not matter if you have missed a dose.

If your symptoms persist, worsen or do not improve during the use of this product, tell your doctor, pharmacist or qualified healthcare practitioner.

If you have any questions, or are unsure about anything, please ask your doctor, pharmacist or qualified healthcare practitioner.

4. Possible side effects


Like all medicines, this product can have side effects, although not everybody gets them.

These include:

- Upset stomach

If this persists or becomes troublesome stop taking the product.

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you notice any other side effects.

5. How to store this product


Do not use after the expiry date shown on the bottle

Return any out of date medicine to your pharmacist who will dispose of it for you. Do not store above 25°C. Keep the bottle tightly closed.

Keep all medicines out of the reach and sight of children

Swiss Herbal Remedies Menopause Tincture is a brown liquid.

Ingredients: Each 1 ml of oral liquid contains 1 ml of tincture from dried Red Peony (Paeonia lactiflora Pallas) root (1:3). Extraction solvent: Ethanol 25% v/v. There are no other ingredients in this product.

This product is available in packs of 50ml and 100ml. Not all pack sizes may be marketed.
