Verrugon
Keep this carton safe as it contains important information about Verrugon. Verrugon is a topical ointment for treating verrucae on soles of feet.
How to use: Adults and children over 6.
1. Fix the self adhesive ring with the hole over the verruca.
2. Squeeze a little ointment into the hole and directly onto the verruca.
3. Cover ring completely with plaster provided. Seal into position.
4. Wash hands after use.
5. Repeat treatment daily after gently pumicing or filing off the dead part of the verruca.
The length of time to treat a verruca may vary. Improvement can be seen in a few weeks but complete removal can take up to 12 weeks depending on the size and resistance of the verruca. If the verruca is not removed after 12 weeks or if acute pain or discomfort occurs during treatment seek medical advice.
Take Care
Keep Verrugon away from the eyes, nose, mouth and normal skin. Wash hands after using, if you accidentally apply the ointment to the eyes,nose or mouth you should flush with water for 15 minutes. If you accidentally apply ointment to normal skin, wash it off immediately. Verrucae are contagious and to stop spreading the infection they should always be covered, me emery board should only be used by the patient and only for the verruca. Do not file nails.
Do not use: on children under 6 • on broken skin or healthy skin * if you are allergic to aspirin or any of the ingredients • if you are diabetic, have poor blood circulation or numbness in your feet, unless advised by your doctor.
Side effects: Wool fat in this ointment may cause local skin reactions (e.g. contact dermatitis). If you notice anything unusual or pain persists stop using Verrugon and consult your doctor.
Active Ingredient (w/w) Salicylic acid 50.0%
Also contains: Wool fat (5.0%w/w), Glycerol. Liquid Paraffin, White Soft Paraffin Pack contents: Ointment, emery board, 9 plasters and 9 com rings.
Keep out of reach and sight of children
