Simple Linctus Bp
Simple Linctus BP helps to stop a mild non-specific cough. DO NOT use Simple Linctus if you:
• are allergic to citric acid or any of the other ingredients in this medicine. • have an hereditary intolerance to some sugars. Take special care if you: • have diabetes mellitus.
Tell your doctor if you are taking other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.
Helps to stop a mild non-rperific cough

.Citric acid may interact with potassium tartrate, carbonates and bicarbonates, therefore do not take lother medicines containing these ingredients at the same time as Simple Linctus.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding: ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking Simple Linctus during pregnancy or if you are oreast-feeding.
Driving and using machines: Simple Linctus has no effect on your ability to drive or use machines. Simple Linctus contains:
• ethanol (alcohol): contains up to 0.25g of ethanol (alcohol) per 5ml dose, equivalent to 6 ml beer or 2.5 ml wine per 5 ml dose. Harmful for those suffering from alcoholism. To be taken into account in pregnant or breast-feeding women, children and high-risk groups such as patients with liver disease or epilepsy.
• sucrose: contains up to 4 g of sucrose per 5 ml dose. Tell your doctor before taking this medicine ifyou have an intolerance to some sugars or diabetes mellitus.
• Colour 1508 Red (E123): may cause allergic reactions.
How to take: Only to be taken by mouth. • Adults: One or two 5ml spoonful taken 3-4 times daily.
• Children: Not recommended.
A different formulation of Simple Linctus is available for children. Please see your pharmacist.
If you take more than you should: Contact your doctor or pharmacist. Side effects: If
you take Simple Linctus in large quantities or frequently, it may cause erosion of the teeth or stomach irritation. Reporting of side effects: If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse. This includes any possible side effects not listed in this leaflet. You can also report side effects directly via the Yellow Card Scheme at www.mhra.gov.uk/yellowcard.
By reporting side effects you can help provide more information on the safety of this medicine.
Storage: Keep out of the sight and reach of children. Do not store above 25°C. Do not use after the expiry date which Is stated on the label or carton. Simple Linctus contains: citric acid monohydrate 125mg/5ml (equivalent to 114.29mg/5ml anhydrous citric acid). The other ingredients are colour 1508 Red (Anstead).
